Jewelry Care
Jewelry Care & Materials:
All our jewelry pieces are very delicate and dainty and should be treated with care. Be gentle when handling all our pieces to avoid damages.
Solid gold is of course an exquisite piece of jewelry; however, gold filled, or gold platted is an amazing quality alternative and affordable! Gold plated jewelry is made through the electroplating process, taking a base metal-brass, copper, silver and then applying a thing gold layer on top. Gold filled pieces have at least two layers of gold mixed with other metals.
Silver is a mixture of silver and some other metal. The standard is at least 92.5% silver. Hence the .925 stamps you see on some sterling silver items. Silver tarnish naturally over time and quite quickly when it comes into contact with oxygen or sulfur. The good news is that the best measure to prevent this is wearing your silver often! The oils in your skin could help prevent tarnish. (Depending on your own body chemistry)
We Use Natural Freshwater Pearls and semi-precious stones, Turquoise, Agate, Amethysts. Stones are not fans of water or chemicals. Also, to much exposure to sunlight may cause certain stones to become paler
